Another pastor says God damn America! But for some strange reason, Fox News and right wingers aren't freaking out and condemning him. I wonder why.

ANOTHER Christian pastor calls for gays to be killed
ANOTHER one is calling for death to gays. There’s a trend developing.
The pastor of New Hope Baptist Church in Seneca, Kansas says President Barack Obama has gone too far in supporting same sex marriage and it’s time for the U.S. government to begin killing gay men and lesbians.
“Terrorists are dangerous, the economy is a real and present danger,” Pastor Curtis Knapp told his congregation on Sunday. “But there is simply nothing other than the holocaust of the unborn which imperils the safety of our country or places our people in jeopardy as does the leader of the Western world publicly raising his fist at the heavens and declaring that the bedrock institution of society, ordained of God and meant to be protected by the state, is little more than a convention of convenience with the children of Sodom to transform the meaning of something, which is precious to Jesus Christ, and a living picture of his love for the church into a legally protected justification for perversion and a vehicle of hatred aimed directly at that love.”
Knapp went on to read from Leviticus 20: “If there is a man who lies with a male as those who lie with a woman, both of them have committed a detestable act; they shall surely be put to death.”
“They should be put to death,” Knapp declared. “‘Oh, so you’re saying we should go out and start killing them, no?’ — I’m saying the government should. They won’t, but they should.”
“You say, ‘Oh, I can’t believe you, you’re horrible. You’re a backwards neanderthal of a person.’ Is that what you’re calling scripture? Is God a neanderthal, backwards in his morality? Is it His word or not? If it’s His word, he commanded it. It’s His idea, not mine. And I’m not ashamed of it.”
“He said put them to death,” he continued. “Shall the church drag them in? No, I’m not say that. The church has not been given the power of the sort; the government has. But the government ought to [kill them]. You got a better idea? A better idea than God?”

Moral leadership
John McCain showed far more leadership than Mitt Romney. At least John McCain once had the moral fortitude to stand up to that crazy lady at his rally spouting nonsense about Obama being "Arab." Where's Mitt's moral leadership in standing up to Donald Trump and Rush Limbaugh?
Mitt Romney’s “Certificate of Live Birth”
Mitt Romney has just released his... wait for it... "Certificate of Live Birth." Yes, that's right, the same thing the Obama haters absolutely REFUSED to accept, demanding instead the full birth certificate. (And they wanted the original, not some copy.)
I'll just sit back and wait for the birthers to start questioning Mitt Romney's eligibility.
I'm sure the crickets will get loud...

Public attitudes on gay marriage not being reflected in votes
Polls show that more and more Americans are okay with gay marriage, but that's not being reflected in recent votes on the issue. But there have been some pretty big--and pretty sudden--shifts in opinions since President Obama came out in support of marriage rights. There's something to be said for the power of the presidential bully pulpit.
Hopefully, any upcoming votes will reflect actual American attitudes... even though it's appalling that the rights of some people are up for a vote. Black civil rights would never have been supported in votes in the south back in the 60s... or probably even today in some teabagger-ridden areas.

Bully
It all makes sense now. Mitt Romney is a bully. He was a bully in high school, beating up on gay people with a posse of gangsters. He was a bully as an adult, mistreating defenseless animals. He was a bully as a businessman, taking joy in dismantling companies and firing people. All of that, and probably lots more stuff we haven’t yet heard about, comes from the same mindset.
The Romney gang: A pack of dogs
Kinda makes the stories about Romney mistreating his dog seem like small potatoes. Romney was a gay basher in school, and lots of witness accounts, even from friends, back that up.
A high school classmate of presidential candidate Mitt Romney told ABC News today that he considers a particular prank pulled at Michigan's Cranbrook school to be "assault and battery" and that he witnessed Romney hold the scissors to cut the hair of a student who was being physically pinned to the ground by several others.
"It's a haunting memory. I think it was for everybody that spoke up about it… because when you see somebody who is simply different taken down that way and is terrified and you see that look in their eye you never forget it. And that was what we all walked away with," said Phillip Maxwell, who is now an attorney and still considers Romney an old friend.
"I saw it with my own eyes," said Maxwell, of the anecdote first reported by the Washington Post . Maxwell said Romney held the scissors helping to cut the hair of a student, John Lauber, who was presumed to be gay and who had long hair. "It was a hack job… clumps of hair taken off."
Maxwell said he held the boy's arm and leg, describing he and his friends as a "pack of dogs."
Asked if Lauber was targeted because he was gay, as reported by the Post, Maxwell said, "We didn't know that word in those days… but there were other words that were used. We weren't ignorant, we just didn't use the current names for things.

Mitt the gay basher

So Mitt Romney claims he doesn’t remember the gay bashing “incident” at all, but yet he’s sure he didn’t know his victim was gay?
Unfortunately, now that Mitt’s history of gay bashing has come to light, his support among conservatives should skyrocket.
Proof that Romney is conservative
Right wingers wary of Mitt Romney can finally rest easy, because now we have proof that he’s really a right winger just like them. You see, at school he was nothing more than a bully who hated people who dared to look or act differently. So relax, hardcore conservatives. He shares your values!
Mitt Romney returned from a three-week spring break in 1965 to resume his studies as a high school senior at the prestigious Cranbrook School. Back on the handsome campus, studded with Tudor brick buildings and manicured fields, he spotted something he thought did not belong at a school where the boys wore ties and carried briefcases. John Lauber, a soft-spoken new student one year behind Romney, was perpetually teased for his nonconformity and presumed homosexuality. Now he was walking around the all-boys school with bleached-blond hair that draped over one eye, and Romney wasn’t having it.
“He can’t look like that. That’s wrong. Just look at him!” an incensed Romney told Matthew Friedemann, his close friend in the Stevens Hall dorm, according to Friedemann’s recollection. Mitt, the teenaged son of Michigan Gov. George Romney, kept complaining about Lauber’s look, Friedemann recalled.
A few days later, Friedemann entered Stevens Hall off the school’s collegiate quad to find Romney marching out of his own room ahead of a prep school posse shouting about their plan to cut Lauber’s hair. Friedemann followed them to a nearby room where they came upon Lauber, tackled him and pinned him to the ground. As Lauber, his eyes filling with tears, screamed for help, Romney repeatedly clipped his hair with a pair of scissors.
The incident was recalled similarly by five students, who gave their accounts independently of one another.

Obama comes out in support of gay marriage
Thank you, Mr. President. This is a historic day, and it took guts to do this before the election.
I’m withdrawing my support of the American Tinnitus Association
Here's why I'm withdrawing my support from the American Tinnitus Association:
They've decided to "honor" James Inhofe, a truly contemptible, dishonest right winger, with an award. Inhofe has an irrational hatred of President Obama, has joined with Republicans in cynical efforts to block any and everything just to score political points off the President, denies climate change, accuses climate change scientists of being part of some sinister conspiracy, and on and on. There’s just too much stupidity and craven partisanship to recount here.
The ATA honoring Inhofe is like an animal rights group honoring Hitler for loving dogs.
Nothing new for North Carolina
We've often pointed out that the same language bigots used to oppose interracial marriage is the same as what's used to oppose gay marriage.
North Carolina last night passed yet ANOTHER ban on gay marriage (they really hate the gays)... but it's really nothing new for that backward, bigoted state.

Bet they won’t cover this a lot on Fox News
Republicans definitely don't want to talk about THIS.
The U.S. government recorded a budget surplus of $58 billion in April, the Congressional Budget Office estimated on Monday, breaking a streak of deficits that began in 2008.The surplus — the first of Barack Obama’s presidency — was the result of both increased tax collection and lower government spending. Before April, the government had not run a surplus since September 2008, the month that the financial crisis struck the U.S. economy. Read CBO report.
The CBO’s estimate is released before the Treasury Department’s monthly budget report. That report is scheduled for later this week.
