Right wingers are fantasizing about killing the President again. I suppose when they figure they’re not going to beat him at the ballot box, they’re losing arguments with him, and calling him a socialist just makes people laugh, all they have left is to fantasize about killing him.
In an interview featured Wednesday night on Fox Business, retired hedge fund manager Foster Friess, the largest donor to super PACs that had formerly supported ex-Sen. Rick Santorum (R-PA) for president, made a distasteful comment about guns being aimed at President Barack Obama.
“There are a lot of things that haven’t been hammered at because Rick and Mitt have been going at each other,” Friess said, according to The Los Angeles Times. “Now that they have trained their barrels on President Obama, I hope his teleprompters are bullet-proof.”
Ha ha. That’s oh so droll, Foster.
It’s definitely a trend with right wingers. There was Allen West’s former chief of staff shouting at an appreciative teabagger crowd, “If ballots don’t work, bullets will!” There was Sharron Angle’s “second amendment remedies.” There was Rick Santorum’s gun-toting supporter yelling “Pretend it’s Obama!” as Rick aimed at a target. Not to mention the many violent signs waved around by teabaggers, who believe if they lose an election (or it looks like they might) it’s time to start waving guns around and threatening to shoot anyone who disagrees with their politics.
