Despite the Publican party's attempts to rewrite history – recent history – Americans do not believe the ridiculous claim that Obama somehow caused the current economic crisis. Nope – they're smart enough to recognize the plain truth that much of the blame lies with the financial industry, freed from moral and legal restraints by the Publicans.
What's more, even despite all the problems we're facing today, Americans are feeling better about the direction of the country than they have in 5 years.
That's not to say that Americans aren't feeling gloomy, and yes, we're very worried. But we've got confidence in the new captain and we're pretty convinced he sees the icebergs and is trying to steer us clear of them for a change.
